   What about SunPower? They are an American company
   and I think their panels are much more efficient.
   This matters when you need to generate greater power on a small roof.

   I love how he starts off by answering who the top 5 manufacturers are by saying he doesnt know… Definitely an interesting conversation just wish he had the top 5 list ready to go and went with that.

   TJ conveniently mentioned all of the modules that REC solar currently offers and somehow left off the highest efficiency panel on the market, SunPower. It’s important to mention that REC does not have access to SunPower panels.

   I strongly disagree with using chauvinistic factors in making any decisions concerning
   sourcing of PV panels, be they country of origin or type of fuel used by the
   manufacturing plant. In terms of quality, you can assume that anything made in the USA is crap;
   and overpriced and (especially re solar panels) oversubsidized with taxpayer money. I’d be willing to bet that the video camera and all the paraphernalia used to make this video was produced in China. As are most of the parts in those “made in the USA” GM, Ford or Chrysler autos.
