Pictures of pond solar panels.
I was picking up my daughter the other day and noticed a pond that had solar panels mounted in the middle.
I am not sure but I am guessing the panels are used to pump water to create a fountain. Anyone else know what they are used for?
There are three panels. The picture is taken in Boulder Colorado.

This one is at the Denver Zoo, judging from the color of the water I would say it is not working too well.

There are several in Denver parks as well. The seem to be aerators. They prevent the ponds from getting anaerobic.
I have a brand new Pond here in Boulder county. Any recommendations for who to call locally to get set up with solar aerators? I am brand new to this.
The picture is of a solar powered pond mixer. By mixing the water the rate of surface renewal is enhanced and the overall pond water quality is somewhat enhanced. However, not near as well as a fountain (requires alot of power) or a solar powered aerator bubbler.
Thanks Rodmon for sharing that info. I will have to look up solar pond mixer.
