Solar Panel Inverter Location

Graphics showing where to place your solar inverter in a residential install.

My friend solar panel inverter got relocated from the side of the house (shown on plans) to the back of the house under the porch.

The reason it got moved was to keep the inverter out of the sun. If the inverter gets too hot it can lose efficiency is what the job foreman told me.

Fronius inverter, IG 4000, 4,000 Watt. Thanks to RecSolar for letting me use their diagrams.
