After my last video with John Shaw where he describes how many solar DIY projects end in frustration during the permitting process, John gave me the idea of offering solar panel diagrams for a fee to help out the Do It Yourself-er get past the permitting hump.
I could develop solar panel riser diagrams like this one below and sell a simple to use web based software package for like $19. I have over 20 years of experience creating this types of diagrams for architects when I was an acoustical consultant and I have a ton of CAD experience so this might be a natural for me to offer this.

I like it. Good application of your CAD skills.
Any liability issues? Can there be a valid disclaimer absolving you of any trouble the DIYer may run into?
What about municipalities that require a ‘wet stamp’ on plans?
I would be interested as I am not an electrical expert.

I am working on this and should have some thing in a month or so.
I am a Architect and I am just getting in to the solar buz. So I would love to get a set of these schematic drawings for my own use. could you also do a set for a off-grid 50kw system showing the number of modules used? say using 224Watts per module.
