A new solar powered hydrogen fueling station is coming to Sacramento to fill up fuel-cell electric cars. The fueling station creates hydrogen from a large solar panel array 80kW in Sacramento to power fuel-cell electric vehicles.

Sacramento got $200k grant from the Dept of Energy to place solar panels on commercial and residential roof tops. Sacramento has a goal is to produce 40 megawatts of power from renewable energy sources by 2017. I guess this is a bit ironic since Sacramento is the city of trees (don’t shade those panels).
