Sounds like you do not want to walk directly on the panels, you want to walk on the outer edges or frames (on the clips or rails). Best method is to remove some of them so you don’t slip.
On a side note; what happens after you have had your solar panel system for 5 or 10 years and one of them goes bad, but after all that time they make more efficient panels and they don’t make your old model anymore. Is it OK to place a more efficient panel in series with your older panels?
