Bella's president, Jim Welch, has been a leader in the renewable energy industry for almost 30 years. In 1982, Jim started the company as Remote Power Inc, one of Colorado's and the nations very first companies to sell and install mostly remote, off-grid solar electric systems. Remote Power is credited with Colorado's first commercial solar electric system (ESC Building 1985) and the first utility interactive power system (Platte River Power Authority 1988). Bella has more NABCEP certified employees than any other CO company. We've done a system on the CO governor's mansion, have won the contract to do the State Capitol and to do 620kw for the County of Boulder. Our bread and butter is still residential though and we take special care in addressing the home-owners needs, goals and aesthetic concerns...
